Stephen Strout, D.M.D., M.S.
Advanced Periodontist - St. Augustine, FL
Dr. Stephen L. Strout was born in New Hampshire where he lived until he was in the fourth grade. He and his family then moved to Apopka, Florida where he graduated from High School. He then attended the University of Florida where he achieved a Bachelors of Science degree in Microbiology with a Minor in Chemistry and Business Administration.
He continued his education by attending the University of Florida, College of Dentistry where he graduated in 2001. While in dental school he developed a passion for periodontics and implant dentistry. He continued his education by completing a three year surgical residency at U.F. with a major focus on Periodontal Plastic and Implant Surgeries.
While in his residency he acquired a Masters Degree in Oral Biology with his master Thesis on “The Relationship Between Systemic Lupus Erythematous and Periodontal Disease”.

During his three year residency Dr. Strout worked in Ocala, Florida as a general dentist where he gained valuable “real-world” experience.
After completion of his residency he accepted an associateship position in Daytona Beach, Florida for almost two years. He is now a managing partner in the practice here in Saint Augustine, Florida.
His wife, Meridith, is pursuing her Ph.D. in special education at the University of Florida. While attending the university, she is also an educational consultant for two inner-city schools in Jacksonville.
